The Bankes Brothers

New EP - Where Do We Go From Here? - Out Now

The Bankes Brothers released their highly anticipated second EP on September 26, 2025. Produced by Gus van Go (Arkells, Sam Roberts Band, The Beaches) and co-produced by Steve Bays (Hot Hot Heat), the collection highlights the band’s evolution into a bold new era of rock ’n’ roll bangers and anthemic crowd pleasers.

The new EP builds on the buzz generated by a series of singles that have already won over fans and critics alike. “Bedroom Wall”, a slow-burn anthem anchored by its magnetic chorus, introduced the band’s collaboration with Gus van Go and pushed them into unexplored creative territory. “Nobody” showcased The Bankes Brothers at their catchiest, a polished, guitar-driven gem that cemented their dialed-in sound. “Get To Know” leaned into the emotional push-and-pull of connection, delivering raw honesty against a backdrop of rhythmic energy. And most recently, “Where Do We Go From Here?” captured the complexity of loving through chaos and uncertainty, pairing emotive vocals with rich instrumentation.

Rounding out the collection is “Waited All Night”, a standout track that reinforces the band’s knack for delivering high-energy, crowd-ready songs destined to light up both playlists and live stages.

With their driving melodies, effortlessly cool delivery, and undeniable live presence, The Bankes Brothers have emerged as one of Canada’s most talked-about new bands. This EP marks their most confident statement yet—a testament to their growth, their chemistry, and their commitment to writing music that resonates both on record and in the room.

Single - Nobody

Released June 4, 2025, Nobody is The Bankes Brothers at their catchiest, built around an irresistible guitar riff and Nelson’s signature vocal delivery. It was their first time working with Gus Van Go at Boiler Room Studios. As Nelson puts it, "he was great at opening us up to the mindset of serve the song, and the production style and choices were a direct result of that." The outcome is a polished, punchy single that captures the band’s sound at its most dialed-in.'

Single - Bedroom Wall

“it felt like we needed a song that gripped you with the first line and “it all began with a bang on my bedroom wall” just happened while driving home” -Nelson Bankes

A slow-burn anthem that hooks listeners from the start, Bedroom Wall evolved over time into something the band can’t quite place on their songwriting timeline, which only adds to its mystique. Produced by the legendary Gus van Go (Arkells, Sam Roberts Band), the song marks the band’s first collaboration with him, pushing them into new creative territory with a “serve the song” mindset. While the title gives nothing away, the song itself is rich with mood, tension, and a magnetic chorus that anchors the entire experience.
